The Villa Cerqualto is a very romantic typical Italian country house surrounded by old oak trees, wonderfully restored with natural and biological materials. Lovely decorated and furnished with antiques from an aristocratic family home. The 200 year old house sits on a slope and has stunning views.
You will find the swimming pool situated in an olive grove overlooking the vineyards. The 8 ha estate is owned by a countess, who produces the estate's own biological wine and olive oil.
On the grounds around the very unusual house you can sit or lie down in many cosy corners, hide under some old trees or enjoy the breathtaking views over the superb Umbrian countryside. The country lifestyle and exceptional location will give you enough opportunities to relax and dream. The low chemical swimming pool is completely for your own use.
The proprietor is living in a separate part of the building and cooks dinners for you if you like or helps with all questions.
The house sleeps eight. The large outer staircase leads into the library/single bedroom and then on to one of the large double bedrooms. Up the old staircase you will find the 'green' double bedroom/living-room with fireplace and one bathroom with stunning views on the Monte Cetona. Next door is the old farmhouse kitchen with a large fireplace. It is almost like it was 200 years ago, but with the newest electro-domestics. A French window leads to a large terrace with comfortable chairs with direct access to the garden. Second floor with two double bedrooms, sharing a bathroom. This is located in the tower and has 5 windows with lovely views. From the yellow room you will be able to see the ancient village of Monteleone d'Orvieto. The blue master bedroom has a large private terrace. In the distance you will see Monte Cetona and Monte Amiata where you can ski in winter.
